As hard-pressed ranchers in the middle of a historic drought, it is not our habit to endorse or promote people from other fields of endeavor. However, our experience in the past two years has been intense and eye-opening, and much of the reason for the positive outcome of that learning curve has been the steady, honest and no-nonsense presence of Mr. Laizure.
It was something of a surprise to find empathy in Arizona’s chaotic real estate market; plus a man with a sensible, level head who has been able to steer 19th-century land managers into the 21st-century world of land values. Suffice it to say that as beef producers, our perception of land’s worth has not kept pace with public ideas of same. Combine that with the intense pressure for house construction on an unprecedented scale in this State; we were in danger of being dispossessed against our better judgement.
Mr. Laizure has a thoroughly practical history in Arizona all of his life; he has watched the influx of people and the unchecked growth with the same concerns as we have had; but his optimism joined with his pragmatic eye have produced a persistent confidence and honesty that other realty companies should envy. He put together a prospectus which greatly improved our chances for a successful property transaction; and in the end, after plenty of effort, his confidence proved well placed.
Barry’s trademark is open honesty and complete transparency in negotiation. This appears from our perspective to buck the trend, at least in Arizona, but we could hardly be more pleased with the outcome. We are happy to commend him to anyone seeking honesty and square dealing in real estate matters.
